The Army Corps Harbor Study is the next phase of the City’s coastal resilience work that began over a deacde ago with the Climate Ready Boston initiative. After extensive work to identify risk, flood pathways, flood levels, and impact to Boston from storms and sea level rise, the City has directed efforts to next stage: planning and design for solutions. The Army Corps Harbor Study is the largest component of this phase, and is undertaking an extensive examination of the different inundation areas and creating preliminary designs that can be shovel-ready for coordination with the Army Corps of Engineers.
